Jessica Kurten took the highest place for Ireland in the opening
competitions of the big five-star show in Paris yesterday when
she placed sixth in the speed class.
Antrim-born Kurten, riding the nine year-old bay gelding ‘Urano III’, was just under three seconds behind British winner Robert Smith at the French venue. Earlier in the day, Cork's Billy Twomey had a ninth place in the two-phase competition with ‘Anastasia III’.
Kurten and Twomey are joined by Meath's Cian O'Connor at the
prestigious Salon du Cheval arena for the weekend's action.
