Irish team manager Robert Spaline has announced his team for the Aga Khan competition at the Dublin Horse Show on Friday August 11th.

The five-strong team is headed by captain Shane Carey, Billy Twomey, Cian O'Connor, Cameron Hanley and Marion Hughes.

The EFI Jumping Committee issued a statement this afternoon and stated that: 'Jessica Kurten's unavailability for both the 2006 Dublin Horse Show and the World Equestrian Games has been her decision.'

Kurten, the highest ranked Irish rider in world showjumping was told by Splaine that she would have to prove herself at the Dublin event to see if he considered her worthy of a place in his Aga Khan team.
