Cian O'Connor was best of the Irish in the Aachen Grand Prix, Germany today with a tenth place on the nine year-old Irish
Independent Echo Beach.

Generally regarded as one of the toughest courses in the world, the Grand Prix had three rounds, with the best 18 riders going through to the second round, but only clear rounds qualifying for the jump-off.

Both O'Connor and Ireland's Jessica Kurten made it through to the second round, but while O'Connor had one fence down, Kurten lowered three, to finish on 12 faults.

O'Connor's four faults denied him the jump-off, but nevertheless was good enough to secure the Meath-based rider 10th place overall.
