A deal has been agreed that will see Corkman Robert Splaine take over the post of chef d'equipe of the Irish senior show jumping team.
The terms were not revealed after today's meeting in Co Kildare, but it is understood that the contract will now go before the Equestrian Federation of Ireland for ratification prior to signing by Splaine and Show Jumping Association representatives early next week.
Taylor Vard, who resigned as chairman of selectors last week, did not attend today's meeting, which was chaired by SJAI chairman Charles Hanley.
