Ireland's Cian O'Connor brought out his new eleven year-old mare Zanoubia to take the opening class at Towerlands, England last night.
With one-and-a-half seconds between the Meath rider and British runner-up Mark Armstrong, O'Connor had a comfortable win in the 1m40 Clock Tower Stakes, which kicked off the three-day English event at Braintree, Essex.
Ireland's Edward Doyle also recorded a fifth place in the same competition with Paradise G.
Zanoubia won two competitions for O'Connor at the Indoor International in Cavan last weekend.
