Despite starting as a 20-1 outsider, Ireland's Jessica Kurten made the jump-off in the Las Vegas Grand Prix in Nevada early this morning and finished a creditable fifth, picking up $35,750 in prize money.
One fence down in the jump off ensured that Kurten could not catch Brazilian winner Rodrigo Pessoa, who delivered a clear round on Baloubet de Rouet and took the winner's purse of $250,000.
Only six of the original 25 world-ranked riders made it through to the jump-off.
Earlier in the night, Kurten finished fourth in the Ride and Drive Final with Castle Forbes Libertina, and collected $10,000 to add to her winnings from the previous day.
At the end of the Las Vegas Invitational, which lasted for just two days, the Antrim-born rider had collected a grand total of $66,500 in prize money, or just over €55,000.
Kurten won only one class during the 48 hours she spent in Nevada, the Ride and Drive Qualifier, which did not carry a prize purse.
Meanwhile, Dave Quigley was best of the Irish in the first international of the day at the Horse of the Year Show in Birmingham, finishing fifth in the two-phase, with Peter Charles in ninth.
Billy Twomey, who had a winner yesterday, was fastest of all, but two down dropped him out of the reckoning.
Trevor Coyle recorded Ireland's fourth win of the weekend, scoring in this afternoon's speed class at the Belgian fixture in Welkenraedt with Joy's Mouche.
But there was no joy for Dermott Lennon in the Oslo World Cup, where a fence down with Condios meant he finished 25th of 40-strong field.
On the home front, the Clonmel Enterprises Laing O'Rourke Grand Prix is the feature event on this afternoon's card at the Champions of the Year Show in Kill.
