Irish riders notched up two second places in Athens last night.

Cameron Hanley and Sarah Kate Quinlivan were both denied entry to the winner's enclosure by just one place in the warm-up show for next week's Nations Cup at the Greek venue.

But there was no joy in Germany for Jessica Kurten, who went out of the young horse at the Bremen Euroclassics after picking up eight faults with the stallion Carving.
