Nathan Aspinall won his fourth European Tour title and his first of the year by beating Danny Noppert 8-5 in the German Darts Grand Prix final in Munich.
With Luke Littler opting to skip the tournament in Germany, Aspinall took centre stage, sealing his victory in style with a 128-checkout against his Dutch opponent.
The 34-year-old from Stockport lost the opening leg, but soon found his range as a 108-checkout swept him into a 4-1 lead from which he never looked back.
Aspinall had hit top form in the semi-finals against another Dutch player, Kevin Doets, averaging 106.40 and landing 58 per cent of his doubles in a 7-2 win, having beaten Andrew Gilding 6-4 in the last eight.
Noppert dispatched Krzysztof Ratajski 7-2 to reach his fourth career European Tour final having only conceded five legs before facing Aspinall.
Ireland's Willie O'Connor fell to heavy opening 6-1 loss to England's Andrew Gilding while Josh Rock was edged 6-5 by Niels Zonneveld of the Netherlands.
