Monaghan's Shane McGuirk has become the latest Irish darts player to earn a PDC tour card after day three at UK Qualifying School in Milton Keynes.
The 2024 Lakeside champion won six games to join compatriot Niall Culleton, who yesterday claimed a much-coveted two-year tour card, on the Professional Darts Corporation circuit.
30-year-old McGuirk averaged almost 94 as he beat England's Charlie Manby, who reached the last-16 of the 2025/26 World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace, in the final game.
"Last year I came in as a world champion and I think I put too much pressure on myself," he told the PDC.
"This is incredible. I played well in the first two days but today I was like, 'this is it'.
"I'm delighted to do it for me and Amy. I'm absolutely buzzing.
"I thank everyone at home for believing in me, this is one of the best days of my life.
"I'm looking forward to coming in and playing against the top lads in the world. We've got a good team around us and I think we are going to do well."

Carlow's Steve Lennon was beaten in his first-round game today but sits eighth on the order of merit ahead of tomorrow's final day where the top five will also win cards.
Stephen Rosney, from Tipperary, was also beaten in the first round today, is in ninth place.
