World number one Luke Humphries built on his nine-darter at the weekend to beat Nathan Aspinall 5-3 and advance to the last 16 of the Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton.
Humphries will be joined in the next round by Michael Smith, who beat Alex Spellman 5-2, Chris Dobey, who eased past Martin Lukeman 5-1, and Gerwyn Price, who continued his good form with a 5-1 win over Stefan Belmont in Group D.
But Stephen Bunting crashed out after missing a match dart at double 18 before opponent Luke Woodhouse took out 68 to advance to a 5-4 win.
