Luke Littler's hot streak continued after the teenage sensation added the Players Championship 32 to the World Grand Prix he won on Sunday.

The world champion toppled Dennie Olde Kalter 8-2 in the final in Wigan, crashing in ten 180s to prevail with a magnificent 110.73 average.

It was the 18-year-old's first Players Championship title of the season and the triumph secured his place at next month's Players Championship Finals in Minehead.

Following 6-4 wins over Tipperary's Dylan Slevin and Jeffrey de Graaf, Littler stormed through to the last 16 with a whitewash win over Adam Lipscombe, aided by an average of 102.

Littler then produced consecutive 130, 120 and 146 finishes to overturn a 3-0 deficit against Adam Hunt, before reeling off five straight legs from 3-1 down to sink Rhys Griffin in the last eight.

The Warrington wonderkid produced further heroics in his semi-final clash against top seed Stephen Bunting, winning five legs without reply from 4-2 adrift to prevail with a 109 average to Bunting's 107.

Littler has also won the World Championship, UK Open and World Matchplay this year and when asked if he felt unstoppable, he replied: "I definitely do.

"At the start of the day it's never the best, you've just got to get past those early stages.

"Then when it comes down to the last 16 and quarters, that's when it turns nitty-gritty. I'm very happy with today (Wednesday).

"I'm very exhausted but happy to have come away with a win. I did the Grand Prix and then the youth, yesterday and today.

"Minehead was always at the back of my mind. On my social media some people said I'm not going to make it, but I've won it today.

"I've been playing for 10 or 11 days non-stop so I will have a well-deserved break this weekend and then I will be back for the Europeans."

Earlier this week Littler was edged out by Beau Greaves in a last-leg decider in the semi-finals of the PDC World Youth Championship in Wigan.

Following this week's double-header, the PDC ProTour season will conclude later this month, as Players Championships 33-34 take place at the Robin Park Leisure Centre on 29-30 October.

The race for Players Championship Finals qualification will dominate the headlines, as world number one Luke Humphries and two-time World Champion Peter Wright battle to confirm their spots in the 64-player field.

Seven-time champion Michael van Gerwen looks set to miss out on next month's extravaganza, with the Dutchman not expected to compete in the upcoming ProTour double-header due to family reasons.
