Ryan Searle claimed his sixth ProTour title with a resounding 8-3 victory over Cameron Menzies in the final of the Championship 4 decider in Rosmalen.

The 37-year-old Englishman, who averaged 100.7 and hit eight of his 12 attempts at doubles to see off Scot Menzies to extend his record of winning a ranking title in each of the last six years.

Searle, the first non-Premier League player to win a ranking tournament this year, told the PDC's official website: "I’ve been playing really well in practice, so to prove it this week is fantastic.

"To win six PDC titles is amazing, especially when you look at the list of brilliant players that never won a PDC title.

"Winning a title six years running is a great achievement for me and if I can win another one this year, that will be another boundary crossed."

Searle, who beat Florian Hempel, Mensur Suljovic, Owen Bates, Mickey Mansell, William O’Connor and Stefan Bellmont to reach the final at the Autotron, saw Menzies open up with a 145 out-shot but never looked back after establishing a 4-2 lead.

He edged towards victory with a double-top, double-top finish before claiming the title with another tops in the 11th leg.
