It was the fifth time from five appearances at the Worlds that the Tyrone man failed to get past the first hurdle.

In fact Mansell, won just one of the remaining seven legs with Asada coasting home with a 91.97 average.

Limerick's Willie O'Connor, who beat Marko Kantele in the first round on Monday evening, is the next Irish player in action.

The Magpie takes on world number three Gerwyn Price on Thursday evening.

Ciaran Teehan of Cork plays his second-round game on Friday afternoon against world number 19 Mervyn King, while Derry's Daryl Gurney opens his campaign against the winner of Justin Pipe and Benjamin Pratnemer on Saturday evening.
