England's Scott Waites will take on unseeded Canadian Jeff Smith in the final of the BDO World Championship in Frimley Green.
Waites, the 2013 champion, powered past Jamie Hughes 6-1 in his semi-final while Smith came through a thriller against Dutchman Richard Veenstra 6-5.
Waites needed to dig deep in previous rounds against Geert de Vos and top seed Glen Durrant at Lakeside but victory did not seem in doubt this time as he raced into a 5-0 lead. Hughes pulled a set back but it did not delay Waites long.
Waites told BBC Sport: "That seemed a little bit more straightforward than the other two days.
"Jamie's such a fantastic player and he didn't perform today. Now I've got a 50-50 chance of winning this title again."
Smith came from behind to win a dramatic clash against impressive Lakeside debutant Veenstra, finishing in superb fashion with a 10-dart checkout.
Smith trailed 4-3 to the Dutchman but fought back to clinch victory in a tense decider.
The Canadian told BT Sport: "I was almost ready to fall apart there. He didn't let me off. Every chance I thought I was going to get ahead my double didn't go in. I'm so relieved to survive that. You've got to give credit to Veenstra, he was amazing."
