Phil Taylor will meet Scotland's Gary Anderson in Sunday's PDC World Darts final at the Alexandra Palace after both players eased through their respective semi-finals.
Taylor, with 16 world titles to his name, got the better of Raymond van Barneveld 6-2. He did, however, let a 2-0 lead slip as the Dutchman won the third set 3-0 and then punished a Taylor miss to level it up, but from then on 'The Power' looked in imperious form as he won four sets in a row to advance.
"It was a bit of walk in the first two sets and then he came back and it was nip and tuck," Taylor said.
"I thought to myself, 'you're in the semi-final, come on' and I pushed on a bit. That's all I did."
Earlier, Anderson knocked out defending champion Michael van Gerwen on a 6-3 scoreline.
The Scot consistently hit his doubles and averaged 102 on his way to victory which upset the odds, eliminating the joint favourite and world number one.
The result seemed certain from the moment that Van Gerwen missed double eight twice, leaving the door wide open for 44-year-old Scot Anderson to take a 5-3 lead.
Dutchman Van Gerwen cleared out from 149 to level the next set at 1-1 early on, but Anderson held his nerve to win it 3-2.
"The more I put pressure on him, the more he missed," Anderson told Sky Sports Darts.
"There were two sets I gave away, I was up 2-0 and I lost 3-2 so I gave him those but I'm quite happy.
"It's just nice to be here again. It's been a long time, four years, but I'm enjoying it. I'm enjoying my darts again."
