Cycling Ireland have named a 17-strong contingent of riders for the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup Dublin later this month.

Marking the fifth round of competition in the 2023-24 World Cup, it will take place at the Sport Ireland Campus in Abbotstown on Sunday, 26 November with Team Ireland's men and women represented in the U23 and Junior categories.

The 17 riders were selected by the Cycling Ireland Off-road Commission's Cyclo-cross Development.

The afternoon will be headlined by the men's and women's elite races.

Dublin hosted a World Cup round for the first time on 11 December last year when three-time UCI Cyclo-cross world champion and nine-time Tour de France stage winner Wout van Aert triumphed in the men's elite race, while Fem van Empel was victorious in the women's race.

However, Van Aert has confirmed that this year's Dublin round will not be part of his schedule, while five-time reigning world champion Mathieu van der Poel will be another absentee, with both not starting their Cyclo-cross seasons until December.
