Olav Kooij equalled the record of four straight Tour of Britain stage wins after victory in Newark-on-Trent, while Ireland's Sam Bennett finished ninth to remain in the top three overall.
The 21-year-old Dutchman Kooji maintained his 100% start to this year's Tour after another text-book lead-out by his Jumbo-Visma team-mate Wout van Aert.
Kooij, who won the first three stages, all after similar sprint finishes, equalled Norwegian Edvald Boasson Hagen's record set in 2009 after finishing ahead of Team DSM's Casper van Uden and third-placed Ethan Vernon.
Another Irishman, Rory Townsend [Bolton Equities Black Spoke], is 10th in the general classification after coming home inside the top 10 on Wednesday.
Jumbo-Visma have dominated the first four stages, all of which have featured little climbing and ended in bunched sprint finishes.
Stage four's 166.6km course started in Sherwood Forest and a two-man breakaway of Briton Harry Tanfield and Belgium's Abram Stockman were swallowed up by the peloton with 27.5km remaining.
Kooij leads the general classification ahead of Van Aert and Bennett [Bora-Hansgrohe], with Great Britain's Vernon fifth after four straight top-six stage finishes.
Stage five, a 192.4km-course, starts and finishes in Felixstowe on Thursday.
