Adam Yates maintained his overall lead after stage four of the Volta a Catalunya.
The British rider took the lead on Wednesday with a stage victory and is 45 seconds ahead of team-mate Richie Porte, with fellow Ineos rider Geraint Thomas in third.
Yates had to settle for fourth place in another hilly stage that was won by Team BikeExchange's Esteban Chaves, who attacked on the final climb and held off a determined chase from Ineos and second-placed Michael Woods.
Woods' Israel Start-up Nation team-mate Dan Martin was 37th, 6:59 behind Chaves, and is up 11 places in general classification to 30th.
