Cycling Ireland and Sport Ireland have announced that last year's Irish Masters 40 Road Race Championships winner Dale Walker has been found guilty of a doping violation and banned for four years.
Walker won the road race title in Wexford last September and was selected for doping control test immediately following his participation in the event.
The 47-year-old's sample tested positive for the banned substances; epioxandrolone, oxandrolone, 18-noroxandrolone and boldenone and/or boldenone metabolite(s).
Both his A and B sample tested positive for the same substances.
A joint statement from Cycling Ireland and Sport Ireland confirmed the outcome of Walker's hearing and that he would be sanctioned with a four year ban.
