Nicolas Roche and Dan Martin have been included in Cycling Ireland's squad of four for the UCI Road World Championships this month.
The Irish duo who are currently in action at the Tour de France, will be joined by Ryan Mullen and Ben Healy at the competition in Imola, Italy from 25–27 September.
Martin and Roche are 41st and 62nd respectively in the general classification on cycling's leading grand tour as the final stages approach.
The UCI World Championship event had been due to take place in Switzerland but was moved to Imola due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, with the 258.2 kilometres course featuring 5,000m of climbing.
Roche and Mullen will take part in the elite men's time trial on Friday's opening day, with the road race set for the Sunday.
