This year's Time Trial and Road Championships will be held in Knockaderry, County Limerick at the start of October, Cycling Ireland has announced.
Details of the routes, distances and format will be confirmed in the coming weeks and the staging of the event will be subject to public health guidelines to ensure the safety of participants and spectators, organisers said.
Ciarán McKenna, president of Cycling Ireland, said: "We are very fortunate to have seen the return of events this year, this is very much down to the drive of event organisers and clubs, along with the support of the local communities and Cycling Ireland.
"However, staging bigger events like our national road championships is a different matter, it is imperative that the safety of all involved is our paramount concern."
The event is being promoted by Newcastle West Wheelers and runs from 1-4 October.
