Lucas Carstensen edges Rás Tailteann stage win in Mitchelstown

German rider Lucas Carstensen took the fifth stage of Rás Tailteann into Mitchelstown on Thursday.

The Germany Bike Aid man pipped Belgian Robbe Ghys in the 15okm stage from Glengarriff in West Cork. Cycling Leinster's Fintan Ryan finished 10th.

There's no change in the overall classification with Cyrille Thiery of the Swiss National Team retaining the  yellow race leader's jersey with 10 seconds to spare over Luuc Bugter, competing for Netherlands Delta Cycling X. 

Damien Shaw of the Ireland Holdsworth Pro Racing Team is the leading Irishman in third position.
