Sam Bennett's remarkable performance at the Tour of Turkey hit even greater heights on Saturday as the Irishman took his fourth stage win from five.

The Bora-Hansgrohe rider was second last on Friday's uphill finish, almost 15 minutes down on stage winner Diego Ulissi, but he had effectively conceded any hope of challenging on the climb and instead wanted to focus on the flat sprints - his speciality.

It means he's not in contention to win the overall General Classification (52nd overall), but he is out in front in the points leaderboard following an incredible run of victories.

He surged into Izmir to claim another win and write another chapter in a memorable week. Bennett is seven points clear of Belgian Edward Theuns in the points classification.
