There was heartbreak for Donegal rider Ronan McLaughlin at the end of Wednesday's fourth stage of the An Post Rás.
Cycling in his native county, McLoughlin was clear on his own for 70 kilometres but with 100 metres to go he was caught by the chasing pack and reeled in, finishing in 10th place.
Denmark's Mark Pedersen claimed the stage win for the second day in a row, finishing in a time of 2:55:36.
Marcin Bialoblocki was second and David McCann was the first Irishman over the line in fourth place.
Last years' winner Gediminas Bagdonas was fifth while Philip Lavery came ninth and McLaughlin had to settle for tenth in the sprint.
Heading for Buncrana on Thursday, Switzerland's Pirmin Lang is still in yellow with Conor McConvey fifth, now three seconds behind.
