Lance Armstrong will ride at next year's Tour de France, according to a statement from his team.
The seven-time winner of Le Tour recently announced his return to professional cycling, but a strained relationship with journalists and organisers in France had cast some doubt about whether he would return to ride in cycling's premier race.
Armstrong announced his return to racing in September, stating that it was his intention to raise awareness to the fight against cancer.
He is due to begin his comeback at the Tour Down Under on January 20 while he will also ride at the Giro d'Italia - an event he has never competed in before - for the 100th edition of the famous race.
The Tour de France begins on July 4.
The announcement that Armstrong would compete came on the official website of his Astana team.
