Spain's Moises Duenas Nevado tested positive for the blood boosting drug erythropoietin (EPO) after the fourth stage of the Tour de France, the French anti-doping agency (AFLD) told Reuters news ageny.
'We notified Moises Duenas Nevado that he had tested positive for EPO after the fourth stage this morning at 9am,' AFLD president Pierre Bordry said.
The 27-year-old Barloworld rider had been pulled out of the by race by his team, Tour organisers added.
Australia's Cadel Evans led the race before the start of Wednesday's stage, a 167.5-km ride from Lannemezan to Foix.
