Italy's Riccardo Ricco of the Saunier Duval team won the 15th stage of the Giro d'Italia from Trento to Tre Cima di Lavaredo.
Compatriot and team-mate Leonardo Piepoli finished second in the same time. Colombia's Ivan Parra was third, ten seconds behind.
Italy's Danilo Di Luca of the Liquigas team retained the overall lead after finishing sixth, 2:53 behind Ricco.
Monday is the second rest day of the three-week Giro.
Racing begins again on Tuesday with the 189-km 16th stage from Agordo to Lienz in Austria.
