The Tour de France has stopped today for the second and final rest day of this year's event.

The race will resume tomorrow with a third and final day in the Pyrenees.

The sixteenth stage takes the riders from Mourenx into Pau over 180.5km, and over a Category 1 climb and the uncategorised Col d'Aubisque, 1,709 metres above sea level.

 Should Lance Armstrong hold onto his race-leader's yellow jersey tomorrow, he is almost certainly assured of his seventh straight Tour victory.
