Race organisers have released the schedule for a tough looking 2004 Tour of Spain.
The 2004 Tour will start in Leon on 4 September and finish in Madrid on 26 September. The race features 11 stages in the mountains, plus a fearsome 29-km individual time trial climb in the Sierra Nevada.
Spaniard Roberto Heras, who won the race for the second time last year said: "It's a very difficult Tour of Spain. It's one for the climbers. There are a lot of finishes in the mountains and hardly a day to relax."
