John Tanner of the Lancaster team won the second stage of the FBD Milk Rás from Ballinmore to Nenagh today. Tanner finished one second clear of Philip Cassidy of the Meath Lee Strand Cycleways team with Ben Brooks third and Kevin Dawson fourth.
Overall, Chris Newton of the GB team is still in yellow but his lead is now just 12 seconds from Tanner, with Ciaran Power of the Stena Team Ireland in fifth, 27 seconds behind Newton.
