Italy's Alessandro Petacchi won a mass sprint to claim his second stage win in the Paris-Nice cycling race on Friday. The Fassa Bartolo rider edged out Spain's Angel Vicioso of the Kelme-Costa Blanca team to clinch the 188.5-km fifth stage between Toulon and Cannes.
Belgium's Nico Mattan of Cofidis was third. Kazakh Alexander Vinokourov of Deutsche Telekom retained his lead in the overall standings.
