Ireland bounced back from their Women's T20 World Cup qualifier defeat to Bangladesh by breezing to a seven-wicket win over Namibia in Kirtipur, Nepal on Monday.

The Irish side had fallen short by nine runs against Bangladesh on Saturday.

But, having already assured themselves of a spot in the Super Six stage of the qualifiers, they set about trying to get back to winning ways in their final group game.

After Namibia set a total of 107 for eight, the Irish side bettered that with 110 for three over 14.2 overs.

Ireland will face Scotland in their first Super Six contest in Kageshwori-Manohara on Wednesday.

The Scots go into that match-up off the back of thrashing Nepal by 72 runs which sealed their place in the next phase.

Four teams from the Super Six stage will qualify for this summer's World Cup hosted by England and Wales. Aside from Scotland, Ireland's other opponents will be Bangladesh, Netherlands, Thailand and the United States.

Namibia 107-8 (20 overs)

Ireland 110-3 (14.2 overs)
