Ireland wicketkeeper-batsman Niall O'Brien has left Leicestershire after four years at the club.
The 35-year-old would have been out of contract at the end of the season but has departed Grace Road with immediate effect in order to find a new county.
O'Brien scored 2,816 runs at an average of 34.76 and claimed 152 catches and 11 stumpings in 51 first-class matches for the Foxes.
O'Brien, who also racked up over 1,300 limited-overs runs, said: "The last four years have been challenging and fun. I'm now looking forward to pursuing a new opportunity and am as hungry as ever to contribute.
"I wish Leicestershire all the very best in the years ahead."
Leicestershire chief executive Wasim Khan added: "We'd like to thank Niall for his loyal service over the last four years, he has been an important part of the changing room at Leicestershire.
"His contribution as a batsman, wicketkeeper and as a senior professional has been excellent and we wish him all the very best for the future."
