Rory Anders’ four-wicket haul helped Ireland to a six-wicket win over Canada in their 13th place semi-final play-off at the Under-19 World Cup in Bangladesh.
The Phoenix paceman's blitz was chiefly responsible for Canada faltering to 73 for eight, and although the last two wickets added 66, a total of 139 was never going to be enough on a batting-friendly surface.
Anders 11 wickets for the tournament sees him in second place in the leading wicket takers - one behind England's Saqib Mahmood.
Fiachra Tucker (2-21), Gary McClintock (2-26) and Aaron Gillespie (1-20) were the other successful Irish bowlers in a committed display.
Arslan Khan (47) and Prushoth Wijayaraj (26) top scored for Canada.
Ireland now await the winners of the Scotland versus Fiji play-off contest which takes place on Monday.
