Ireland's second Twenty20 international against Scotland was abandoned this evening without a ball bowled due to persistent rain.

Play was scheduled to start at 5.30pm at Bready in Co Tyrone but after waiting almost two hours for rain to cease and the outfield to dry, umpires were forced to admit defeat to the weather.

The match will now go ahead tomorrow, Saturday, with a 3.30pm start.

Scotland lead the series 1-0 going into Sunday's final match, having won Thursday's first game by six wickets.
