Ireland's Seamus O’Connor finishes tenth in Snowboard Slopestyle World Championships final

Ireland’s Seamus O’Connor has finished tenth in the Men’s Snowboard Slopestyle World Championships in Kreischberg, Austria.

O’Connor produced the best slopestyle performance of his career in the semi-finals and in doing so qualified with the second highest score, 90.33, for today’s final.

He finished with a score of 54.50 in the final, failing to reproduce yesterday's display, with USA's Ryan Stassel coming out on top with 97.50. 

The 17-year-old is coached by New Zealander Sam Wilkinson and they have been working on a number of new routines since the Winter Olympics in Sochi last year.
