Coach Phil Simmons is to leave Ireland's tour of Australia and New Zealand today for family reasons.
Simmons is leaving the Ireland camp in Christchurch, New Zealand today to return his native Trinidad to be with his ill mother.
The former West Indian international’s assistant coach Peter Johnston will oversee the side for the remaining fixture of the tour against Otago tomorrow.
