Ireland’s scheduled game against New Zealand has been abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Persistent rain in Hamilton left umpires Tim Parlane and Derek Walker with no option but to call the game off at 1515 local time.

Ireland now move on to Christchurch, where they will play Canterbury on Tuesday, before their tour concludes against Otago on Thursday.
