Brian O'Driscoll has added his voice to the tributes to Ireland cricket team after their epic win over England.
Ireland won a famous victory over England in Bangalore on Wednesday, with batsman Kevin O'Brien scoring a record-breaking century as they chased down a 327-run total.
Ireland captain O'Driscoll will lead his men into what could be a Triple Crown showdown against England in the RBS 6 Nations on 19 March.
England could be aiming for a Grand Slam at that stage, while Ireland need to beat Wales in Cardiff on 13 March to still be in with a shout of snatching either the Championship or the Triple Crown.
According to O'Driscoll, there is nothing better than beating the originators of a sport at their own game.
He said: 'Huge congratulations to you all from everyone in the Irish set up here. When you see the Irish team doing well like you guys did yesterday it doesn't matter what the sport is. It was compelling viewing against the English.
'I was stuck to my seat here as most of the squad were. To beat the team that made the game makes it all the more sweeter.'
