Ireland's World Cup cricket squad have moved from Guyana to Barbados where they will play current champions Australia at the Kensington Oval on Friday, followed by a match against Bangladesh next Sunday.
The Irish team management say they will continue to monitor the progress of their all-rounder Andre Botha who missed the defeat to New Zealand on Monday with a hamstring injury.
Botha was replaced by Peter Gillespie but coach Adrian Birrell will be anxious to have Botha back as, unlike Gillespie, Botha offers a bowling as well as a batting option.
Fast bowlers David Langford Smith and Boyd Rankin who were suffering from stomach upsets prior to the defeat to New Zealand will be fit to play on Friday.
Birrell has also dismissed concerns about his top order batsmen who have struggled recently for runs.
Jeremy Bray in particular has faded away after scoring an unbeaten 115 against Zimbabwe and a 41 against the West Indies. The Irish opener has scored just one run in each of his last three innings, but Birrell is confident that Bray, fellow opener William Porterfield and Eoin Morgan can come good again.
'I am not thinking about changing my top order batsmen,' said Birrell.
'They have shown in the past that they can produce the goods and I’m confident that they will do the same before the Super Eight's are concluded,' he added.
Ireland will train on Wednesday at a local ground in preparation for Friday’s game against Australia before using the main stadium in Bridgetown for net practice for the first time on Thursday.
