Bangladesh pull off huge shock

Bangladesh pulled off a huge shock in their opening World Cup match with a five-wicket win over India in Trinidad.

Mashrafe Mortaza took four wickets as Bangladesh bowled out one of the tournament favourites for just 191 in Port of Spain.

Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim and Saqibul Hasan all hit half-centuries as Bangladesh knocked off the runs with nine balls to spare to blow Group B, which also includes Sri Lanka, wide open.

Bangladesh pair Hasan and Iqbal savoured their roles in the surprise win.

Iqbal hitting 51 off 53 balls and Saqibul hitting five fours and six on his way to 53.

Saqibul, who also bowled a full 10-over spell, told Sky Sports 2: 'In the field I just tried to bowl line and length and I knew I needed to do that.

'Batting was tough at first but I knew if we batted 50 overs we'd be there (at their target of 192).

'I was just trying to play naturally and I enjoyed batting on that pitch.'

Iqbal added: 'I just tried to play my natural game and when I was selected for the national team my aim was to play my own game.

'I like to play shots and play lots of them. It was easier in the second half of the game for batting and I enjoyed it.'
