England opener Marcus Trescothick has declared himself refreshed and ready to face the pressure-cooker atmosphere of an Ashes series.
The Somerset left-hander is back in the international fold after taking a break to aid his recovery from a stress-related illness.
He returned home prematurely from the tour of India earlier this year before missing the ICC Champions Trophy to have a further break.
'I've had quite a good break at home but I've been practising and training really hard, and I'm just excited to be playing cricket again,' said the 30-year-old, who was England's second-highest scorer in last year's Ashes, hitting 431 runs to help them reclaim the famous urn.
'The back end of the summer wasn't the ideal situation but it's all behind me. It's hard to judge how I'm doing but I feel in good shape.'
