Ireland have named a 15-man squad for next year's ICC World Cup, seven months before the tournament begins in the Caribbean.
It is the first time Ireland have appeared in the World Cup and they face a tough first round with hosts West Indies, Pakistan and Zimbabwe all in their group.
Although the squad for the World Cup doesn't have to be named until February, the selectors felt it would assist the chosen players in re-arranging work commitments and training schedules.
The squad will be captained by Australian-born Trent Johnston, who led Ireland to their recent European Championship success.
The fifteen are:
DT Johnston - Captain (Clontarf)
A Botha (North County)
J Bray (Eglinton)
K Carroll (Railway Union)
P Gillespie (Strabane)
K McCallan - Vice Captain (Waringstown)

In addition, five reserves have been named, and they include the former captain Jason Molins.
