Ireland have named a squad of 12 for their opening game in the C&G Trophy against Hampshire in Clontarf on April 23rd.

Making their Ireland debuts in the game will be the two overseas professionals, Pakistan Internationals Shahid Afridi and Saqlain Mushtaq.

David Langford-Smith from the Phoenix club in Dublin also features in the squad, and is in line to win his first cap, following his impressive bowling display in the non-capped friendly match against Loughborough UCCE on Saturday.

The game against the holders, who include Shane Warne and Kevin Pietersen in their ranks, is live on Sky Sports.
