All-rounder Ian Blackwell has passed a fitness test on his bruised index finger to take his place in an unchanged England line-up for their final one-day match before Christmas against Sri Lanka. Blackwell was struck on his left hand in the nets on Thursday by fast bowler Steve Harmison. Although hospital x-rays proved clear, he was not expected to play after suffering bad bruising.
But in a change of fortunes for the England side, Blackwell has now been passed fit as the tourists attempt to claim their second successive win following Wednesday's triumph over the same side in Brisbane.
