Aussie bowler Warne dislocates shoulder

Australian bowler Shane Warne was stretched off with a dislocated right shoulder as the Aussies claimed yet another victory over England in the second match of the triangular series.

Australia beat England by 89 runs, but with the World Cup looming, the injury of Warne overshadowed the result.

Warne dived to stop a single off his own bowling from Craig White and landed with his full weight on his right hand-side and immediately clutched his shoulder. It was later revealed that he had dislocated it and must now await the results of scan to discover whether any serious damage has been done.

Warne is now expected to miss the rest of the Ashes series, and if the injury is proved to be serious, he could be out of action for up to two months. The Australian underwent reconstructive surgery to the same shoulder in 1998, which forced him to miss the '98 Ashes series, while a broken finger caused him to be sidelined for most of the 2000-01 Australian summer.

"It's hard to say how long he'll be out until we get more information but ifit's a clean dislocation with no further complications he would be out for four to six weeks which is the best case scenario. But if there is any further damage it's just going to add time on," said the Australian physioErrol Alcott.
