England captain Nasser Hussain looks set to miss his side's final one-day warm-up match against the Prime Minister's XI at the Manuka Oval tomorrow because of a thigh strain. Hussain sustained the injury during the tourists' defeat by Australia A in Sydney on Sunday and will be rested ahead of Friday's opening match of the triangular tournament at the SCG.
Marcus Trescothick, who sat out Sunday's match, will return to captain the side in Hussain's absence. "I don't think it's a major problem with Nasser," explained Trescothick. "It's a minor thing that we're keeping an eye on but nothing more than that. I've always enjoyed captaining the odd game here and there and it might give me a little something to get my mind off how I'm playing at the moment."
