Hussain upbeat despite defeats

England captain Nasser Hussain believes England can still prosper in the Ashes series, despite damaging losses in the first two tests.

England coach Duncan Fletcher says Hussain is still upbeat ahead of the third test against Australia in Perth on Friday.

"I had a meeting with him [Hussain] again this morning. He's still very enthusiastic. He's come down here [to a net session] to help some of the guys and pass on some of the experience that he has got – and from that you can tell that he's still up for it. There's no doubt about it, he's up for it," Fletcher told a news conference in Adelaide.

Hussain himself has admitted that Australia will continue to try and pile on the misery on England and that unless he and his team-mates raise their game, they risk further defeats. "Unless we improve we'll get beaten," summed up Hussain.
