Australia completed a 3-0 series whitewash of Pakistan when they won the third test by an innings and 20 runs with more than a day to spare. It was the second successive innings win by Australia in the series played on neutral territory because of security fears in Pakistan.
Pakistan, who resumed at 176 for eight, were dismissed for 203 in the first session. The highlights of the match included Australia strike bowler Glenn McGrath's 400th test victim and a defiant unbeaten century by captain Steve Waugh after a long run of indifferent form.
