Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne says New Zealand's Stephen Fleming is probably the best captain in world cricket. Warne, named in 2000 as one of Wisden's five cricketers of the century, said Fleming possessed an astute tactical brain and always made the most of the weapons at his disposal in matches between rivals Australia and New Zealand.
"I think Stephen Fleming is probably the best captain in world cricket. I think he's in the top few, if not the best, in test and one-day cricket," Warne told Sydney's Daily Telegraph newspaper from Sri Lanka today. Warne and Fleming will be on opposite sides in the ICC Champions Trophy, which begins in Sri Lanka later today, when New Zealand begin the defence of their title against Australia on Sunday.
